Hadith 7716

حَدَّثَنَا حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ ، حَدَّثَنَا مَعْمَرٌ ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، عَنِ ابْنِ الْمُسَيَّبِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : إِنَّ اللَّهَ تَعَالَى قَالَ : " لَا يَقُلْ أَحَدُكُمْ : يَا خَيْبَةَ الدَّهْرِ ! فَإِنِّي أَنَا الدَّهْرُ ، أُقَلِّبُ لَيْلَهُ وَنَهَارَهُ ، فَإِذَا شِئْتُ قَبَضْتُهُمَا " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Allah Almighty says that none of you should say, "Destruction is caused by time," for I am the Creator of time; I alternate its nights and days, and whenever I wish, I will draw both of them to Myself.
