Hadith 7708

حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ ، حَدَّثَنَا مَعْمَرٌ ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، عَنِ ابْنِ الْمُسَيَّبِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " مَا مِنْ مَوْلُودٍ إِلَّا الشَّيْطَانُ يَمَسُّهُ حِينَ يُولَدُ ، فَيَسْتَهِلُّ صَارِخًا مِنْ مَسَّةِ الشَّيْطَانِ إِيَّاهُ ، إِلَّا مَرْيَمَ وَابْنَهَا " . ثُمَّ يَقُولُ أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ : اقْرءَُوا إِنْ شِئْتُمْ : وَإِنِّي أُعِيذُهَا بِكَ وَذُرِّيَّتَهَا مِنَ الشَّيْطَانِ الرَّجِيم سورة آل عمران آية 36 .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Every newborn child is pricked by Satan, because of which every newborn child cries, but this did not happen with Hazrat Isa (peace be upon him) and his mother Hazrat Maryam (peace be upon her). After this, Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) said: If you wish, you may recite this verse in confirmation of it: "I seek Your protection for Maryam and her offspring from the accursed Satan."
