Hadith 7692

حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ ، أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ ، وَابْنُ بَكْرٍ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ ، حَدَّثَنِي ابْنُ شِهَابٍ ، عَنْ حُمَيْدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ ، أَنَّ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ حَدَّثَهُ : أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " أَمَرَ رَجُلًا أَفْطَرَ فِي رَمَضَانَ أَنْ يُعْتِقَ رَقَبَةً ، أَوْ يَصُومَ شَهْرَيْنِ ، أَوْ يُطْعِمَ سِتِّينَ مِسْكِينًا " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) ordered the man who broke his fast in the month of Ramadan by approaching his wife to either free a slave, or fast for two consecutive months, or feed sixty needy people.
