Hadith 7675

حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ ، أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ ، حَدَّثَنِي ابْنُ شِهَابٍ ، أَخْبَرَنِي عُمَرُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ ، أَنَّ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ قَارِظٍ ، أَخْبَرَهُ ، أَنَّهُ وَجَدَ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ يَتَوَضَّأُ عَلَى ظَهْرِ الْمَسْجِدِ ، فَقَالَ أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ : إِنَّمَا أَتَوَضَّأُ مِنْ أَثْوَارِ أَقِطٍ أَكَلْتُهَا ، لِأَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " تَوَضَّئُوا مِمَّا مَسَّتْ النَّارُ " .
Ibrahim bin Abdullah (may Allah have mercy on him) says that once he saw Hazrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) performing ablution on the roof of the mosque. He said, "I ate some pieces of cheese, so I am performing ablution because the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: After eating something cooked on fire, perform ablution."
