Hadith 7653

حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ ، حَدَّثَنَا مَعْمَرٌ ، عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي ذِئْبٍ ، عَنْ سَعِيدٍ الْمَقْبُرِيِّ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " إِنَّ لِي عَلَى قُرَيْشٍ حَقًّا ، وَإِنَّ لِقُرَيْشٍ عَلَيْكُمْ حَقًّا ، مَا حَكَمُوا فَعَدَلُوا ، وَائْتُمِنُوا فَأَدَّوْا ، وَاسْتُرْحِمُوا فَرَحِمُوا " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: I have a right over the Quraysh and the Quraysh have a right over you. When they judge, let them act with justice; when they are entrusted, let them fulfill the trust; and when mercy is begged from them, let them show mercy.
