حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ ، أَخْبَرَنَا مَعْمَرٌ ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَبَّلَ الْحُسَيْنَ بْنَ عَلِيٍّ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا ، وَالْأَقْرَعُ بْنُ حَابِسٍ التَّمِيمِيُّ جَالِسٌ ، فَقَالَ الْأَقْرَعُ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، إِنَّ لِي عَشَرَةً مِنَ الْوَلَدِ مَا قَبَّلْتُ إِنْسَانًا مِنْهُمْ قَطُّ ! قَالَ : فَنَظَرَ إِلَيْهِ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَقَال : " إِنَّ مَنْ لَا يَرْحَمُ لَا يُرْحَمُ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that once the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) kissed Hazrat Hasan (may Allah be pleased with him). At that time, Aqra bin Habis Tamimi was also sitting in the gathering. He said, "O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), I have ten sons, but I have never kissed any of them." The Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "Whoever does not show mercy to others, mercy is not shown to him."
