It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whoever owns treasures and does not pay their due right, all his treasures will be made into a slab and heated in the fire of Hell. Then his forehead, sides, and back will be branded with it until Allah decides among His servants. That will be a day whose length, according to your reckoning, will be equal to fifty thousand years. After that, he will be shown his path either to Paradise or to Hell.

Similarly, the person who owns goats but does not pay their due zakat, all those goats will come on the Day of Judgment in a healthier state than before, and the surface of the earth will be made soft for them. Then they will gore him with their horns and trample him with their hooves. Among them, there will be no goat with twisted horns or without horns. As soon as the last goat passes over him, the first one will return, and this will continue until Allah decides among His servants. That will be a day whose length, according to your reckoning, will be equal to fifty thousand years. After that, he will be shown his path either to Paradise or to Hell.

Similarly, the person who owns camels but does not pay their due zakat, all those camels will come on the Day of Judgment in a healthier state than before, and the surface of the earth will be made soft for them. Thus, they will trample him with their hooves. As soon as the last camel passes over him, the first one will return, and this will continue until Allah decides among His servants. That will be a day whose length, according to your reckoning, will be equal to fifty thousand years. After that, he will be shown his path either to Paradise or to Hell.

Then someone asked the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) about horses. He said: The foreheads of horses are a source of concealment and beauty, and sometimes a cause of punishment. The person for whom a horse is a source of reward is the one who keeps and prepares it for jihad in the way of Allah. Whatever enters the belly of such a horse is a source of reward for him. If it drinks water from a river while passing by, the water that enters its belly is also a source of reward. If it eats something while passing by, that too is a source of reward for that person. If it climbs a hill, for every hoofbeat and every step, he will be given a reward, until the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) even mentioned its dung and urine.

And the horse that is a source of concealment and beauty for a person is for the one who keeps it for adornment and does not neglect the rights of its belly and back in ease or hardship.

And the horse that is a source of burden for a person is for the one who keeps horses out of pride, arrogance, and show.

Then the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was asked about donkeys. He said: Allah Almighty has revealed this comprehensive verse about them: Whoever does an atom’s weight of good will see it, and whoever does an atom’s weight of evil will see it.
