(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا يَعْلَى ، حَدَّثَنَا فُضَيْلٌ يَعْنِي ابْنَ غَزْوَانَ ، عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي نُعْمٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " الْفِضَّةُ بِالْفِضَّةِ مِثْلًا بِمِثْلٍ ، وَزْنًا بِوَزْنٍ ، وَالذَّهَبُ بِالذَّهَبِ وَزْنًا بِوَزْنٍ ، مِثْلًا بِمِثْلٍ ، فَمَنْ زَادَ فَهُوَ رِبًا " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Silver should be exchanged for silver and gold for gold in equal weight. Whoever adds to it has engaged in usury.
