(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا يَعْلَى ، وَيَزِيدُ ، قَالَا : أَخبرنا مُحَمَّدٌ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " النَّاسُ تَبَعٌ لِقُرَيْشٍ فِي هَذَا الْأَمْرِ ، خِيَارُهُمْ تَبَعٌ لِخِيَارِهِمْ ، وَشِرَارُهُمْ تَبَعٌ لِشِرَارِهِمْ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: In matters of this religion, people follow the Quraysh; the good follow the good among them, and the bad follow the bad among them.
