(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ بْنِ مَيْسَرَةَ ، عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ وَهْبٍ ، عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ أَبِي طَالِبٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ ، قَالَ : " كَسَانِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ حُلَّةً سِيَرَاءَ ، فَخَرَجْتُ فِيهَا ، فَرَأَيْتُ الْغَضَبَ فِي وَجْهِهِ ، قَالَ : فَشَقَقْتُهَا بَيْنَ نِسَائِي " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) that once a silk garment was sent as a gift to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) from somewhere. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) sent it to me. I wore it and went outside, but when I saw signs of displeasure on the blessed face of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), I distributed it among my women.
