Hadith 7547

(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ ، أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدٌ . وَابْنُ نُمَيْرٍ ، قَالَا : حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدٌ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " دَخَلَتْ امْرَأَةٌ النَّارَ فِي هِرَّةٍ رَبَطَتْهَا ، فَلَمْ تُطْعِمْهَا ، وَلَمْ تَسْقِهَا ، وَلَمْ تُرْسِلْهَا ، فَتَأْكُلَ مِنْ خَشَاشِ الْأَرْضِ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: A woman entered Hell because of a cat which she had tied up. She neither fed it nor gave it water, nor did she let it go free so that it could eat the insects of the earth by itself.
