(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا زَيْدُ بْنُ الْحُبَابِ ، أَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو مَوْدُودٍ ، حَدَّثَنِي عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ أَبِي حَدْرَدٍ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ ، يَقُولُ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " إِذَا بَزَقَ أَحَدُكُمْ فِي الْمَسْجِدِ ، فَلْيَدْفِنْهُ فَإِنْ لَمْ يَفْعَلْ ، فَلْيَبْزُقْ فِي ثَوْبِهِ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: If any one of you wants to spit in the mosque, he should go far away; if he cannot do so, then he should spit into his garment.
