(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي ذِئْبٍ ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ اللَّيْثِيِّ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ سُئِلَ عَنْ أَوْلَادِ الْمُشْرِكِينَ ، فَقَالَ : " اللَّهُ أَعْلَمُ بِمَا كَانُوا عَامِلِينَ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that once someone asked the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) about the ruling regarding the children of polytheists who die in infancy. The Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) replied that Allah knows best what deeds they would have performed if they had grown up.
