Hadith 745

(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ ، عَنْ شَرِيكٍ ، عَنْ سِمَاكٍ ، عَنْ حَنَشٍ ، عَنْ عَلِيٍّ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " إِذَا جَلَسَ إِلَيْكَ الْخَصْمَانِ ، فَلَا تَكَلَّمْ حَتَّى تَسْمَعَ مِنَ الْآخَرِ ، كَمَا سَمِعْتَ مِنَ الْأَوَّلِ " .
Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said to me: "When two parties come to you, do not judge by listening to only one of them, rather listen to both."
