(حديث قدسي) حَدَّثَنَا حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ ، وَابْنُ نُمَيْرٍ ، قَالَا : حَدَّثَنَا ، عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ ، عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " يَقُولُ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ : أَنَا مَعَ عَبْدِي حِينَ يَذْكُرُنِي ، فَإِنْ ذَكَرَنِي فِي نَفْسِهِ ، ذَكَرْتُهُ فِي نَفْسِي ، وَإِنْ ذَكَرَنِي فِي مَلَإٍ ذَكَرْتُهُ فِي مَلَإٍ هُمْ خَيْرٌ مِنْهُمْ ، وَإِنْ اقْتَرَبَ إِلَيَّ شِبْرًا ، اقْتَرَبْتُ إِلَيْهِ ذِرَاعًا ، وَإِنْ اقْتَرَبَ إِلَيَّ ذِرَاعًا ، اقْتَرَبْتُ إِلَيْهِ بَاعًا ، فَإِنْ أَتَانِي يَمْشِي أَتَيْتُهُ هَرْوَلَةً " . وَقَالَ ابْنُ نُمَيْرٍ فِي حَدِيثِهِ : " أَنَا عِنْدَ ظَنِّ عَبْدِي بِي ، وَأَنَا مَعَهُ حَيْثُ يَذْكُرُنِي " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Allah Almighty says: Whenever My servant remembers Me, I am present with him. If he remembers Me in his heart, I also remember him in My heart. If he remembers Me in a gathering, I remember him in a better gathering. If he comes near Me by a handspan, I come near him by an arm's length. If he comes near Me by an arm's length, I come near him by a fathom. And if he comes to Me walking, I come to him running. In the narration of Ibn Numair, the beginning is as follows: I deal with My servant according to his expectation of Me.
