(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَجْلَانَ ، عَنْ سَعِيدٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " تَصَدَّقُوا " ، قَالَ رَجُلٌ : عِنْدِي دِينَارٌ ، قَالَ : " تَصَدَّقْ بِهِ عَلَى نَفْسِكَ " ، قَالَ : عِنْدِي دِينَارٌ آخَرُ ، قَالَ : " تَصَدَّقْ بِهِ عَلَى زَوْجِكَ " ، قَالَ : عِنْدِي دِينَارٌ آخَرُ ، قَالَ : " تَصَدَّقْ بِهِ عَلَى وَلَدِكَ " ، قَالَ : عِنْدِي دِينَارٌ آخَرُ ، قَالَ : " تَصَدَّقْ بِهِ عَلَى خَادِمِكَ " ، قَالَ : عِنْدِي دِينَارٌ آخَرُ ، قَالَ : " أَنْتَ أَبْصَرُ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Give charity and alms. A man asked, "If I have only one dinar?" He replied, "Give it in charity to yourself." He asked, "If I have one more dinar?" He replied, "Give it in charity to your wife." He asked, "If I have one more dinar?" He replied, "Give it in charity to your child." He asked, "If I have one more dinar?" He replied, "Give it in charity to your servant." He asked, "If I have one more dinar?" He replied, "You know best."
