Hadith 7413

(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى ، حَدَّثَنَا الْأَوْزَاعِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنِي الزُّهْرِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنِي ثَابِتٌ الزُّرَقِيُّ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ ، يَقُولُ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " لَا تَسُبُّوا الرِّيحَ ، فَإِنَّهَا تَجِيءُ بِالرَّحْمَةِ ، وَالْعَذَابِ ، وَلَكِنْ سَلُوا اللَّهَ خَيْرَهَا ، وَتَعَوَّذُوا بِهِ مِنْ شَرِّهَا " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Do not speak ill of the wind, for it comes with both mercy and hardship. Rather, ask Allah for its goodness and seek refuge with Him from its evil.
