(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، عَنِ ابْنِ طَاوُسٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، وَأَبُو الزِّنَادِ ، عَنِ الْأَعْرَجِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، يَبْلُغُ بِهِ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " نَحْنُ الْآخِرُونَ ، وَنَحْنُ السَّابِقُونَ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ ، بَيْدَ أَنَّ كُلَّ أُمَّةٍ أُوتِيَتْ الْكِتَابَ مِنْ قَبْلِنَا ، وَأُوتِينَاهُ مِنْ بَعْدِهِمْ ، ثُمَّ هَذَا الْيَوْمُ الَّذِي كَتَبَهُ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ عَلَيْهِمْ ، فَاخْتَلَفُوا فِيهِ ، فَهَدَانَا اللَّهُ لَهُ ، فَالنَّاسُ لَنَا فِيهِ تَبَعٌ ، فَلِلْيَهُودِ غَدًا ، وَلِلنَّصَارَى بَعْدَ غَدٍ " . قَالَ أَحَدُهُمَا : " بَيْدَ أَنَّ " ، وَقَالَ الْآخَرُ : " بَايْدَ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Although we came last, on the Day of Resurrection we will surpass everyone. The only difference is that every nation was given the Book before us, while we received the Book later. Then, Friday was appointed by Allah for them, but they differed regarding it. So Allah guided us to it, and now people follow us in this matter. The Jews have the next day (Saturday), and the Christians have the day after that (Sunday).
