It is narrated as a mawquf report from Hazrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that when any one of you puts on his shoes, he should begin with the right foot, and when he takes them off, he should remove the left foot first. Also, if the strap of one of your shoes breaks, he should not walk with only one shoe, but should either take both off or wear both.
