(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا
سُفْيَانُ ، عَنْ
أَبِي الزِّنَادِ ، عَنِ
الْأَعْرَجِ ، عَنْ
أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، قَالَ : قالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " أَلَا تَعْجَبُونَ كَيْفَ يُصْرَفُ عَنِّي شَتْمُ قُرَيْشٍ ! كَيْفَ يَلْعَنُونَ مُذَمَّمًا ، وَيَشْتُمُونَ مُذَمَّمًا ، وَأَنَا مُحَمَّدٌ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Are you not amazed at how, in such a strange way, the abuses of the Quraysh are kept away from me? They curse and revile "Mudhammam," while my name is Muhammad (not Mudhammam).
