Hadith 7238

It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that once the iqamah for prayer was being called and people began to straighten the rows. The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) also arrived and stood at his place. After a short while, the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) signaled to the noble companions (may Allah be pleased with them) with his hand and said: "You all stay here," and the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) left. When he returned, he had performed ghusl and drops of water were dripping from his head. Then he (peace and blessings be upon him) led the people in prayer.
