(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا عبدُ الرحمن ، عَنْ مَالِكٍ ، عَنِ الْعَلَاءِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " لَا تَأْتُوا الصَّلَاةَ وَأَنْتُمْ تَسْعَوْنَ ، وَأْتُوهَا وَعَلَيْكُمْ السَّكِينَةُ ، فَمَا أَدْرَكْتُمْ ، فَصَلُّوا وَمَا فَاتَكُمْ ، فَأَتِمُّوا " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Do not come running for prayer, rather come with calmness and tranquility. Whatever part of the prayer you catch, perform it, and complete what you have missed.
