Hadith 7226

(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ ، عَنْ مَالِكٍ ، عَنْ سُمَيٍّ ، عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " لَوْ يَعْلَمُ النَّاسُ مَا فِي النِّدَاءِ ، وَالصَّفِّ الْأَوَّلِ ، ثُمَّ لَمْ يَجِدُوا إِلَّا أَنْ يَسْتَهِمُوا عَلَيْهِ ، لَاسْتَهَمُوا عَلَيْهِ ، وَلَوْ يَعْلَمُوا مَا فِي التَّهْجِيرِ ، لَاسْتَبَقُوا إِلَيْهِ ، وَلَوْ يَعْلَمُوا مَا فِي الْعِشَاءِ ، وَالصُّبْحِ ، لَأَتَوْهُمَا وَلَوْ حَبْوًا " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: If people knew what reward there is in the call to prayer and in the first row (of prayer), and then they could not attain these except by drawing lots, they would certainly draw lots for them. And if people knew what reward there is for coming early to the prayer, they would race to it. And if they knew what reward there is in the Isha and Fajr prayers, they would surely attend them even if they had to crawl.
