(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي عَدِيٍّ ، عَنْ شُعْبَةَ ، عَنِ الْعَلَاءِ . وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ الْعَلَاءَ يُحَدِّثُ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " الْمُسْتَبَّانِ مَا قَالَا فَعَلَى الْبَادِئِ ، مَا لَمْ يَعْتَدِ الْمَظْلُومُ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whatever two people who abuse each other say, its sin will be upon the one who started the abuse, as long as the oppressed does not exceed the limits.
