(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا مَعْمَرٌ ، أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ شِهَابٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ الْمُسَيَّبِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، قَالَ : سُئِلَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنْ فَأْرَةٍ وَقَعَتْ فِي سَمْنٍ ، فَمَاتَتْ ؟ فقَالَ : " إِنْ كَانَ جَامِدًا ، فَخُذُوهَا وَمَا حَوْلَهَا ، ثُمَّ كُلُوا مَا بَقِيَ ، وَإِنْ كَانَ مَائِعًا ، فَلَا تَأْكُلُوهُ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that once someone asked the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) about the ruling if a mouse dies in ghee. The Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: If the ghee is solid, then remove the part (where the mouse has fallen) and the ghee around it, and then use the remaining ghee. But if the ghee is in liquid form, then do not use it.
