(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ هِشَامٍ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " إِذَا قَامَ أَحَدُكُمْ يُصَلِّي بِاللَّيْلِ ، فَلْيَبْدَأْ بِرَكْعَتَيْنِ خَفِيفَتَيْنِ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: When any one of you gets up for the Tahajjud prayer, he should begin it with two light rak'ahs.
