It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) and Abu Saeed Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Allah Almighty has said, "Fasting is exclusively for Me and I Myself will give its reward." The fasting person experiences two moments of joy: when he breaks his fast, he is happy, and when he meets Allah and Allah grants him his reward, he will also be happy. By the One in Whose hand is the life of Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him), the breath of the fasting person is more fragrant to Allah than the scent of musk.
