(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ فُضَيْلٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا عُمَارَةُ ، عَنْ أَبِي زُرْعَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " مَنْ سَأَلَ النَّاسَ أَمْوَالَهُمْ تَكَثُّرًا ، فَإِنَّمَا يَسْأَلُ جَمْرًا ، فَلْيَسْتَقِلَّ مِنْهُ ، أَوْ لِيَسْتَكْثِرْ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whoever asks people for money in order to accumulate wealth (so that the amount of money he has increases), let him remember that he is asking for embers; now whether he asks for a little or a lot.
