Abu Rafi’ says that once I performed the ‘Isha prayer with Hazrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him). In it, he recited Surah Inshiqaq, and upon reaching the verse of prostration, he performed the prostration of recitation. After the prayer, I asked, “O Abu Hurairah? (What did you do?)” He replied, “I have performed prostration on this verse following the example of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), so I will continue to prostrate upon reaching this verse until I meet the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him).”
