Hadith 7119

(حديث مرفوع) أَخْبَرَنَا هُشَيْمُ بْنُ بَشِير ، أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ أَبِي صَالِحٍ ذَكْوَانُ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " ِِِيَمِينُكَ عَلَى مَا يُصَدِّقُكَ بِهِ صَاحِبُكَ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The meaning of your oath that will be considered valid is the one which your companion (the one demanding the oath) also confirms."
