(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا عَبْد اللَّهِ بن احمد ، حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ أَبِي الرَّبِيعِ السَّمَّانُ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَوَانَةَ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ بْنِ عُمَيْرٍ ، عَنْ إِيَادِ بْنِ لَقِيطٍ الْعِجْلِيِّ ، عَنْ أَبِي رِمْثَةَ التَّيْمِيِّ تَيْمَ الرِّبَابِ ، قَالَ : أَتَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَمَعِي ابْنِي ، فَأَرَانِيهِ إِيَّاهُ ، فَقُلْتُ لِابْنِي : هَذَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَأَخَذَتْهُ الرِّعْدَةُ ، هَيْبَةً لِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَقُلْتُ لَهُ : يَا نَبِيَّ اللَّهِ ، إِنِّي رَجُلٌ طَبِيبٌ ، مِنْ أَهْلِ بَيْتٍ أَطِبَّاءَ ، فَأَرِنِي ظَهْرَكَ ، فَإِنْ تَكُنْ سِلْعَةً أَبُطُّهَا ، وَإِنْ تَكُ غَيْرَ ذَلِكَ أَخْبَرْتُكَ ، فَإِنَّهُ لَيْسَ مِنْ إِنْسَانٍ أَعْلَمَ بِجُرْحٍ أَوْ خُرَاجٍ مِنِّي ، قَالَ : " طَبِيبُهَا اللَّهُ " ، وَعَلَيْهِ بُرْدَانِ أَخْضَرَانِ ، لَهُ شَعَرٌ قَدْ عَلَاهُ الْمَشِيبُ ، وَشَيْبُهُ أَحْمَرُ ، فَقَالَ : " ابْنُكَ هَذَا " ، قُلْتُ : إِي وَرَبِّ الْكَعْبَةِ ، قَالَ : " ابْنُ نَفْسِكَ ؟ " قُلْتُ : أَشْهَدُ بِهِ ، قَالَ : " فَإِنَّهُ لَا يَجْنِي عَلَيْكَ ، وَلَا تَجْنِي عَلَيْهِ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Rimthah (may Allah be pleased with him) that once I, along with my son, presented myself in the service of the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). I showed him to the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and said, "This is the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him)." Due to awe, he became moist (with sweat). I submitted, "O Messenger of Allah! I am considered a great physician among the people and belong to a family of physicians. Please show me your back. If this is a boil, I will press it, otherwise I will inform you, for at this time there is no one who knows wounds better than me." The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Its healer is the One who made it." He had long hair and there was a trace of henna on his blessed head. He was wearing two green garments. After a little while, the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) asked, "Is this your son?" I said, "Yes, by the Lord of the Ka'bah." The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Really?" He said, "I bear witness to it." Upon this, the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Remember, he is not responsible for any of your crimes, and you are not responsible for any of his crimes."
