It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Amr (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Whoever is mutilated or burned in fire is free, and is freed by Allah and His Messenger." Once, a man named Sundar was brought to the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), who had been castrated. The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) set him free. When the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) passed away, he came to the service of Sayyiduna Abu Bakr as-Siddiq (may Allah be pleased with him) and mentioned the will of the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). He treated him well. Then, when Sayyiduna Abu Bakr as-Siddiq (may Allah be pleased with him) passed away and Sayyiduna Umar al-Faruq (may Allah be pleased with him) was appointed as caliph, he came again and mentioned the will of the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) also treated him well and said: "Yes! Where do you want to go?" He wished to go to Egypt, so Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) wrote a letter to the governor, Sayyiduna Amr ibn al-As, instructing him to treat him well and to remember the will of the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him).
