Hadith 7086

(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا زَكَرِيَّا ، عَنْ عَامِرٍ ، سَمِعْتُ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ عَمْرٍو ، سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، يَقُولُ : " الْمُسْلِمُ مَنْ سَلِمَ النَّاسُ مِنْ لِسَانِهِ وَيَدِهِ ، وَالْمُهَاجِرُ مَنْ هَجَرَ مَا نَهَى اللَّهُ عَنْهُ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Amr, may Allah be pleased with him, that I heard the Noble Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, saying: A Muslim is the one from whose tongue and hand other Muslims are safe, and a Muhajir (emigrant) is the one who abandons what Allah has forbidden.
