(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ ، قَالَ : عَبْد اللَّهِ هو عبد الله بن احمد ، وَسَمِعْتُهُ أَنَا مِنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ فُضَيْلٍ ، عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ السَّائِبِ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " بَيْنَمَا رَجُلٌ يَتَبَخْتَرُ فِي حُلَّةٍ إِذْ أَمَرَ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ بِهِ الْأَرْضَ فَأَخَذَتْهُ ، فَهُوَ يَتَجَلْجَلُ فِيهَا ، أَوْ يَتَجَرْجَرُ فِيهَا ، إِلَى يَوْمِ الْقِيَامَةِ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Amr (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "A man was walking arrogantly in his cloak when Allah commanded the earth, so it seized him, and now he will keep sinking in it until the Day of Resurrection."
