It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Amr (may Allah be pleased with him) that one day I was sitting with the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) when the sun was rising. The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "On the Day of Resurrection, some people from my Ummah will come in such a way that their light will be like the light of the sun." Sayyiduna Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) asked, "O Messenger of Allah! Will those people be us?" He replied: "No, there is abundant good for you, but these will be the poor emigrants who will be gathered from every corner of the earth." And the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said three times: "Glad tidings are for the poor." Someone asked, "O Messenger of Allah! Who are meant by the poor?" The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "A few righteous people among a multitude of evil people, whose number of followers is less than those who do not follow them."
