Hadith 7070

(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ ، حَدَّثَنَا رِشْدِينُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ ثَوْبَانَ ، عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ أَبِي رُقَيَّةَ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ الْعَاصِ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " لَا عَدْوَى ، وَلَا طِيَرَةَ ، وَلَا هَامَةَ ، وَلَا حَسَدَ ، وَالْعَيْنُ حَقٌّ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Amr, may Allah be pleased with him, that the Noble Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "There is no reality in contagion of disease, bad omens, worms in the skull of the dead, or envy; however, the evil eye is indeed true."
