Sayyiduna Ibn Amr (may Allah be pleased with him) once came to Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Zubair (may Allah be pleased with him) while he was sitting in the Hatim. He said, "O Ibn Zubair, protect yourself from becoming a cause of deviation in the Haram. I make Allah a witness that I heard the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say: 'A man from the Quraysh will make the Haram of Makkah lawful (for fighting). If his sins were weighed against the sins of all jinn and mankind, his sins would outweigh them.' Sayyiduna Ibn Zubair (may Allah be pleased with him) replied: 'O Abdullah bin Amr! See that you do not become that man, for you have read the previous heavenly books and have also had the honor of the company of the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him).' He said: 'I make you a witness that I am going to Syria for jihad.'"
