(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا يَعْقُوبُ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي ، عَنِ ابْنِ إِسْحَاقَ ، حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو عُبَيْدَةَ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَمَّارِ بْنِ يَاسِرٍ ، عَنْ مِقْسَمٍ أَبِي الْقَاسِمِ مَوْلَى عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ بْنِ نَوْفَلٍ ، قَالَ : خَرَجْتُ أَنَا وَتَلِيدُ بْنُ كِلَابٍ اللَّيْثِيُّ ، حَتَّى أَتَيْنَا عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ عَمْرِو بْنِ الْعَاصِ ، وَهُوَ يَطُوفُ بِالْبَيْتِ ، مُعَلِّقًا نَعْلَيْهِ بِيَدِهِ ، فَقُلْنَا لَهُ : هَلْ حَضَرْتَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ حِينَ يُكَلِّمُهُ التَّمِيمِيُّ يَوْمَ حُنَيْنٍ ؟ قَالَ : نَعَمْ ، أَقْبَلَ رَجُلٌ مِنْ بَنِي تَمِيمٍ ، يُقَالُ لَهُ : ذُو الْخُوَيْصِرَةِ ، فَوَقَفَ عَلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَهُوَ يُعْطِي النَّاسَ ، قَالَ : يَا مُحَمَّدُ ، قَدْ رَأَيْتَ مَا صَنَعْتَ فِي هَذَا الْيَوْمِ ! فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " أَجَلْ ، فَكَيْفَ رَأَيْتَ ؟ " ، قَالَ : لَمْ أَرَكَ عَدَلْتَ ! قَالَ : فَغَضِبَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، ثُمَّ قَالَ : " وَيْحَكَ ، إِنْ لَمْ يَكُنْ الْعَدْلُ عِنْدِي فَعِنْدَ مَنْ يَكُونُ ؟ " فَقَالَ عُمَرُ بْنُ الْخَطَّابِ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، أَلَا نَقْتُلُهُ ؟ قَالَ : " لَا ، دَعُوهُ ، فَإِنَّهُ سَيَكُونُ لَهُ شِيعَةٌ يَتَعَمَّقُونَ فِي الدِّينِ ، حَتَّى يَخْرُجُوا مِنْهُ ، كَمَا يَخْرُجُ السَّهْمُ مِنَ الرَّمِيَّةِ ، يُنْظَرُ فِي النَّصْلِ ، فَلَا يُوجَدُ شَيْءٌ ، ثُمَّ فِي الْقِدْحِ فَلَا يُوجَدُ شَيْءٌ ، ثُمَّ فِي الْفُوقِ ، فَلَا يُوجَدُ شَيْءٌ ، سَبَقَ الْفَرْثَ وَالدَّمَ " ، قَالَ أَبُو عَبْد الرَّحْمَنِ هو عَبْدُ اللهَ بن احمد : أَبُو عُبَيْدَةَ هَذَا اسْمُهُ مُحَمَّدٌ ، ثِقَةٌ وَأَخُوهُ سَلَمَةُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَمَّارٍ ، لَمْ يَرْوِ عَنْهُ إِلَّا عَلِيُّ بْنُ زَيْدٍ ، وَلَا نَعْلَمُ خَبَرَهُ ، وَمِقْسَمٌ لَيْسَ بِهِ بَأْسٌ ، وَلِهَذَا الْحَدِيثِ طُرُقٌ فِي هَذَا الْمَعْنَى ، وَطُرُقٌ أُخَرُ فِي هَذَا الْمَعْنَى صِحَاحٌ ، وَاللَّهُ سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَى أَعْلَمُ .
Maqsam says that once I went out with Talid bin Kilab Laithi. We reached Sayyiduna Ibn Amr (may Allah be pleased with him) who at that time was performing Tawaf of the Ka'bah with his shoes hanging in his hands. We asked him, "At the time of the Battle of Hunayn, when a man from Banu Tamim spoke to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), were you present there?" He replied, "Yes, a man from Banu Tamim, who was called Dhu al-Khuwaisira, came and stood before the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) while he was distributing the spoils of war among the people. He said, 'O Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him), today I have seen you distributing the spoils of war.' The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, 'Well, how did you find it?' He said, 'I did not see you acting with justice.' Upon hearing this, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) became angry and said, 'Woe to you! If justice is not with me, then with whom will it be?' Sayyiduna Umar Farooq (may Allah be pleased with him) said, 'O Messenger of Allah! Should we not kill him?' The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, 'No, leave him. Soon there will be people from his group who will adopt extremism in religion. They will leave the religion just as an arrow passes through its prey. If you look at the arrowhead, you will see nothing on it; if you look at the shaft, you will see nothing on it; and if you look at the feathers, you will see nothing on them. Rather, the arrow will surpass the dung and blood.'"
