Hadith 7028

(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا يَعْقُوبُ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِسْحَاقَ ، قَالَ : وَذَكَرَ عَمْرُو بْنُ شُعَيْبٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ جَدِّهِ ، قَالَ : " قَضَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي وَلَدِ الْمُتَلَاعِنَيْنِ ، أَنَّهُ يَرِثُ أُمَّهُ ، وَتَرِثُهُ أُمُّهُ ، وَمَنْ قَفَاهَا بِهِ جُلِدَ ثَمَانِينَ ، وَمَنْ دَعَاهُ وَلَدَ زِنًا جُلِدَ ثَمَانِينَ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Amr (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) gave this ruling regarding the child of those who perform li'an: "He will be the heir of his mother and his mother will be his heir, and whoever accuses his mother will be punished with eighty lashes, and whoever calls him 'son of adultery' will also be punished with eighty lashes."
