(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا مَرْوَانُ بْنُ شُجَاعٍ أَبُو عَمْرٍو الْجَزَرِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنِي إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ أَبِي عَبْلَةَ الْعُقَيْلِيُّ ، مِنْ أَهْلِ بَيْتِ الْمَقْدِسِ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بن عوف ، قَالَ : قَالَ : الْتَقَى عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عُمَرَ ، وَعَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عَمْرِو بْنِ الْعَاصِ عَلَى الْمَرْوَةِ ، فَتَحَدَّثَا ، ثُمَّ مَضَى عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عَمْرٍو ، وَبَقِيَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عُمَرَ يَبْكِي ، فَقَالَ لَهُ رَجُلٌ : مَا يُبْكِيكَ يَا أَبَا عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ ؟ قَالَ : هَذَا يَعْنِي عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ عَمْرٍو ، زَعَمَ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، يَقُولُ : " مَنْ كَانَ فِي قَلْبِهِ مِثْقَالُ حَبَّةٍ مِنْ خَرْدَلٍ مِنْ كِبْرٍ ، أَكَبَّهُ اللَّهُ عَلَى وَجْهِهِ فِي النَّارِ " .
Abu Salamah narrates that once on Marwah, Sayyiduna Ibn Amr (may Allah be pleased with him) and Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) met. After a brief conversation, when Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) returned, he was crying. Someone asked him, "O Abu Abdur Rahman, why are you crying?" He replied: "Because of the hadith which he has narrated to me, that he heard the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say: 'Whoever has even a mustard seed's weight of arrogance in his heart, Allah will throw him face down into Hell.'"
