Hadith 7003

(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ ، حَدَّثَنَا هَمَّامٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا قَتَادَةُ ، عَنْ شَهْرٍ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو ، أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " مَنْ شَرِبَ الْخَمْرَ فَاجْلِدُوهُ ، وَمَنْ شَرِبَ الثَّانِيَةَ فَاجْلِدُوهُ ، ثُمَّ إِنْ شَرِبَ الثَّالِثَةَ فَاجْلِدُوهُ ، ثُمَّ إِنْ شَرِبَ الرَّابِعَةَ فَاقْتُلُوهُ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Amr, may Allah be pleased with him, that the Noble Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Whoever drinks alcohol, flog him. If he drinks again, then flog him. If he drinks a third time, then flog him. And on the fourth occasion, he said: 'Kill him.'"
