Hadith 6937

(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ ، أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ شُعَيْبٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ جَدِّهِ ، قَالَ : نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنْ نَتْفِ الشَّيْبِ ، وَقَالَ : " هُوَ نُورُ الْمُؤْمِنِ " ، وَقَالَ : " مَا شَابَ رَجُلٌ فِي الْإِسْلَامِ شَيْبَةً ، إِلَّا رَفَعَهُ اللَّهُ بِهَا دَرَجَةً ، وَمُحِيَتْ عَنْهُ بِهَا سَيِّئَةٌ ، وَكُتِبَتْ لَهُ بِهَا حَسَنَةٌ " . (حديث مرفوع) (حديث موقوف) وَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " لَيْسَ مِنَّا مَنْ لَمْ يُوَقِّرْ كَبِيرَنَا ، وَيَرْحَمْ صَغِيرَنَا " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Amr, may Allah be pleased with him, that the Noble Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, forbade plucking white hairs, for they are the light of the Muslims. For every Muslim whose hair turns white in the state of Islam, for each hair a good deed is written, a rank is raised, or a sin is forgiven. And the Noble Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "He is not one of us who does not show mercy to our young ones and does not respect our elders."
