Hadith 6930

(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ ، وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَزِيِدَ ، قَالَا : أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ شُعَيْبٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ جَدِّهِ ، قَالَ : قُلْتُ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، أَكْتُبُ مَا أَسْمَعُ مِنْكَ ؟ قَالَ : " نَعَمْ " ، قُلْتُ : فِي الرِّضَا وَالسُّخْطِ ؟ قَالَ : " نَعَمْ ، فَإِنَّهُ لَا يَنْبَغِي لِي أَنْ أَقُولَ فِي ذَلِكَ إِلَّا حَقًّا " ، قَالَ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَزِيدَ فِي حَدِيثِهِ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، إِنِّي أَسْمَعُ مِنْكَ أَشْيَاءَ فَأَكْتُبُهَا ؟ قَالَ : " نَعَمْ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Amr, may Allah be pleased with him, that once I submitted in the presence of the Messenger, "O Messenger of Allah! Should I write down the things I hear from you?" The Noble Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Yes." I asked, "In both states of your pleasure and displeasure?" The Noble Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Yes, because nothing comes out of my tongue except the truth."
