It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Amr, may Allah be pleased with him, that the Noble Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "There are three things, whoever possesses them is a pure hypocrite, and whoever has any one of these traits in him, then a branch of hypocrisy remains in him until he gives it up: When he speaks, he lies; when he makes a promise, he breaks it; and when he is entrusted, he betrays the trust."
