Hadith 6834

(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، عَنِ الْحَكَمِ ، عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " مَنْ ادَّعَى إِلَى غَيْرِ أَبِيهِ فَلَنْ يَرَحْ رَائِحَةَ الْجَنَّةِ ، وَرِيحُهَا يُوجَدُ مِنْ مَسِيرَةِ سَبْعِينَ عَامًا " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Amr, may Allah be pleased with him, that the Noble Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Whoever attributes himself to anyone other than his father will not even smell the fragrance of Paradise, even though the fragrance of Paradise can be perceived from a distance of seventy years."
