Hadith 6801

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Amr, may Allah be pleased with him, that one day I presented myself before the Noble Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, at noon. While we were sitting, two men began to differ over the interpretation of a verse, and as the dispute escalated, their voices grew louder. The Noble Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "The previous nations were destroyed because of their differences regarding their Book."
