Hadith 6785

(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ ، أَخْبَرَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو الْفُقَيْمِيِّ ، عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو ، قَالَ : قَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " لَيْسَ الْوَاصِلُ بِالْمُكَافِئِ ، وَلَكِنَّ الْوَاصِلَ مَنْ إِذَا قُطِعَتْ رَحِمُهُ وَصَلَهَا " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Amr, may Allah be pleased with him, that the Noble Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "The one who reciprocates is not considered among those who maintain the ties of kinship. The true maintainer of kinship is the one who, when someone severs relations with him, he joins relations with him."
