Hadith 6773

(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا بَهْزٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ يَعْلَى بْنِ عَطَاءٍ ، عَنْ نَافِعِ بْنِ عَاصِمٍ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " مَنْ شَرِبَ الْخَمْرَ فَسَكِرَ ، لَمْ تُقْبَلْ صَلَاتُهُ أَرْبَعِينَ لَيْلَةً ، فَإِنْ شَرِبَهَا فَسَكِرَ لَمْ تُقْبَلْ صَلَاتُهُ أَرْبَعِينَ لَيْلَةً ، فَإِنْ شَرِبَهَا فَسَكِرَ لَمْ تُقْبَلْ صَلَاتُهُ أَرْبَعِينَ لَيْلَةً ، وَالثَّالِثَةَ وَالرَّابِعَةَ فَإِنْ شَرِبَهَا لَمْ تُقْبَلْ صَلَاتُهُ أَرْبَعِينَ لَيْلَةً ، فَإِنْ تَابَ لَمْ يَتُبْ اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ ، وَكَانَ حَقًّا عَلَى اللَّهِ أَنْ يُسْقِيَهُ مِنْ عَيْنِ خَبَالٍ " ، قِيلَ : وَمَا عَيْنُ خَبَالٍ ؟ قَالَ : " صَدِيدُ أَهْلِ النَّارِ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Amr, may Allah be pleased with him, that the Noble Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Whoever drinks wine and becomes intoxicated, his prayer will not be accepted for forty days. If he drinks again, then his prayer will not be accepted for another forty days. On the third or fourth occasion, he said: 'If he drinks again, his prayer will not be accepted for forty days. If he repents, Allah will not accept his repentance, and it is incumbent upon Allah to make him drink from the water of the spring of Khabal.' Someone asked, 'What is meant by the spring of Khabal?' He replied: 'The pus of the people of Hell.'"
