(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيَّبِ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ دَخَلَ عَلَى جُوَيْرِيَةَ بِنْتِ الْحَارِثِ ، وَهِيَ صَائِمَةٌ فِي يَوْمِ جُمُعَةٍ ، فَقَالَ لَهَا : " أَصُمْتِ أَمْسِ ؟ " فَقَالَتْ : لَا ، قَالَ : " أَتُرِيدِينَ أَنْ تَصُومِي غَدًا ؟ " فَقَالَتْ : لَا ، قَالَ : " فَأَفْطِرِي إِذًا " ، قَالَ سَعِيدٌ : وَوَافَقَنِي عَلَيْهِ مَطَرٌ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيَّبِ .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Amr (may Allah be pleased with him) that once the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) came to Umm al-Mu’minin Sayyidah Juwayriyyah (may Allah be pleased with her) on a Friday while she was fasting. The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) asked her, “Did you fast yesterday?” She replied, “No.” The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, “Do you intend to fast tomorrow?” She replied, “No.” The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, “Then break your fast.”
