Hadith 677

(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو سَعِيدٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا إِسْرَائِيلُ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْأَعْلَى ، عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ السُّلَمِيِّ ، عَنْ عَلِيٍّ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " وَتَجْعَلُونَ رِزْقَكُمْ أَنَّكُمْ تُكَذِّبُونَ سورة الواقعة آية 82 ، قَالَ : شِرْكُكُمْ ، مُطِرْنَا بِنَوْءِ كَذَا وَكَذَا ، بِنَجْمِ كَذَا وَكَذَا " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "In the Noble Qur'an, where it is stated that you have made this your portion that you deny, its meaning is that you say that rain has occurred due to the rising and setting of such and such stars."
